Loot Rules! Empty

((Again, a mix of IC and OOC))

And now, we get to the good stuff. Our loot for our deeds. We are implementing a system for loot. When you run with us, either just 10, or 25, this system shall be how you can get your gear, to better fight the forces of the Lich King.

There are two ratings each of you will see in your notes from your officers. The first, is what we call Effort Points. This is what you put into the guild. The Leadership awards them for being early to raids, being ontime, defeating the bosses, learning how to defeat them through trial and error, and all manner of other ways we think of that those within the Legion can suppot those who go out and fight the Lich King's minions. However, so we give, so we can take away. Keep that in mind as I list the specific ways, and amounts you can earn these... Effort Points.

(more as we come up with them)

Now, that's all the way you can get the nebulous effort points. What about Gear and these Gear Points, you ask? Well, the Gear Points work on a different system. First, every item that drops save the Emblems are worth Gear Points. The Master Looter will let you know how much each one is worth. When you get something, it's added to your Gear Points. It's fairly simple, at least that part. Now, the part that might lose the less mathematical related. (Don't worry, it took the goblins that came up with this system three days to explain it all to me.)

There is a third rating, your Priority Rating, that determines whether or not you can get the loot before someone else. That is determined by taking your Effort Points, and dividing them by your Gear Points. Everyone's Gear Points start at 100. Everyone. No exceptions. So you take those two, divide the EP by the GP, and you get your PR. Or:

EP / GP = PR

However. There is a minimum threshold we want everyone to have. That's 100 PR. So, for instance, if you've not gotten any gear, so your GP is 100, and you want a PR rating of 100, you'd want 10000 EP. That said, I'm going to be realistic. Yes, people above 100 PR are going to get loot before those below it, but that doesn't mean you can't get gear if you're below it. After all, every boss we kill gets you EP. And every piece of loot they get raises your GP and lowers your PR. So, eventually, you will all get gear. Even if I have to plant my boots on a few asses to get them to move aside, everyone will get gear, so don't worry.

((OOC: The wiki for our system is here: http://code.google.com/p/epgp/wiki/TheSystem

EPGP Mod: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/epgp-dkp-reloaded.aspx

EPGPLootmaster: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/epgp_lootmaster.aspx

I strongly encourage picking up both mods, it's an easy way both to see the loot, how much it's worth, etc, and seeing your rank. However, you can also see how much EP/GP and your PR rank as related to everyone else with the mods, whereas without them you can only see your EP/GP and figure out the rest on your own.))
